Christoph Fabianek studied mathematics and economics and works as senior lead scientist at Frequentis. Since 2015 he runs OwnYourData.eu – a platform to enable private citizens to collect and analyze their personal data. Since 2020 OwnYourData is also proud to be among the first who received the MyData Operator status. He is also chairman of the public charity to foster personal use of data – the legal entity behind OwnYourData.
Within MyData Christoph started in June 2019 the Weekly Digest – a weekly summary of what is going on in the human-centric personal data management world as discussed on the MyData Global Slack channel. Together with other enthusiasts he also initiated the common endpoints groups in MyData to specify an API for interoperability between personal data stores.
He has a family with 3 kids and in his free time he practices Karate and tries to keep his private pilot license active.
