I have a degree in Law and post graduate studies in Psychotherapy. Highly interested in data sharing governance, mainly in empowering citizens and fostering awareness in this area.

I am International Project Manager for the ECHAlliance, a member of the Expert Team developing the EU Ethics framework for the ICT Profession, as external expert for CEN/CENELEC, and, in the same area, Team Leader of the group of experts designing the AAL Reference Guidelines in the Field of Ethics, Data Privacy and Security, contracted by the AAL Programme.

I am Vice-President of the European Covenant on Demographic Change, Main Coordinator of group D4 of the EIP-AHA, Coordinator of the Stakeholders Network on SHAFE – Smart Healthy Age-friendly Environments and the Portuguese Network on SHAFE. Member of the Standing Committee on Policy and Advocacy of the International Health Literacy Association, the Advisory Board of Homes4life, the Organising Committee of the AAL Forum 2018 and 2019, of EGEN2019 and reviewer of ICF Journal and MDPI.

I am CEO of an SME – SHINE 2Europe; Innovation Director of a Portuguese NGO, Cáritas Coimbra, and evaluator/reviewer for the European Commission and EIT Digital. I have written over 200 proposals for funded projects and implemented/managed several of them.
