Alex “Sandy” Pentland is Professor at MIT, runs the cross-MIT Connection Science initiative (connection.mit.edu) and formerly was co-creator of the MIT Media Lab, and has served on Boards for UN, Am. Bar Asso., AT&T, Telefonica, Google. Among the most-cited computational scientists in the world, he is also member of the US National Academies and was named by Forbes as one of the most powerful data scientists in the world. Recent books are Building the New Economy, Trusted Data, Social Physics, and Honest Signals.
