I research the impact of emerging tech in society. I’m a qualitative social scientist with a focus on understanding what people and communities think about tech and how data and AI interact with society.
At the Ada Lovelace Institute I lead projects to understand people’s attitudes to tech, bring diverse voices into debates around data and AI, and address impacts of emerging technology across a range of sectors: from health and biometrics to data policy and governance.
My background is in humanities and social science – I’ve studied a blend of disciplines and topics, but always with a focus on relationships between technology, culture & society. Before joining Ada, I worked at Wellcome, a global health charity, in research and policy, after completing an MSc in Sociology at the London School of Economics.
