Why did you decide to partner with this unique conference? What’s the added value?

Forum Virium Helsinki’s work is driven by data and MyData principles. We are actively promoting interoperability and common standards between cities in a global context as we share the values of a fair, transparent and prosperous digital society. Our aim is to enhance trust and human-centricity in the utilisation of data and analytics and help the city of Helsinki to produce individual and tailored services for the city residents, proactively and when they need them.

We are very interested to meet with new partners and get involved with new initiatives in using data and making cities better places to live. We have a long background in facilitating companies to pilot new services based on data in a smart city context so we welcome all interested organisations to contact us and hear more about the opportunities Helsinki Smart City presents.

We do not have a presentation this year as our projects in relation to MyData are in a too early phase, but we would like to reserve the opportunity to present in the next conferences! 🙂

What are you looking forward to most about the conference?

In addition to finding new partners with whom to work with, we are excited to hear inspiring talks and discussions on personal data economy, empowering citizens with MyData approach, interoperability, standardization and so much more on this important topic!

Are you working on MyData issues currently in your organisation?

Yes. I would like to especially highlight a project called SmashHit – Solving Consumer Consent and Data Security. It is a three-year Horizon 2020 EU-project (smashhit.eu) where the aim is to enhance trust in the data economy by creating new and better services by using the data from the connected car. The aim is to assure trusted and secure sharing of data streams from both personal and industrial platforms which are needed to build sectoral and cross-sectoral services, solve the consumer consent and create fair rules to data exchange by following the MyData-principles. In Helsinki, new solutions for consumer consent and secure data sharing will be tested in smart mobility. For more information, click here (hyperlink) https://forumvirium.fi/en/smashhit-project/
